# BetoniJerry > BetoniJerry is a free, non-binding quote-request ("tarjouspyyntö") and marketplace service for concrete pumping (Finnish: *betonipumppaus*) in Southern Finland. A customer describes one job once; the request is forwarded to suitable concrete-pump companies in the area, which send back offers; the customer compares the offers and accepts one. Operated by PumiNet Oy. The public website and all customer communication are in Finnish — this document is written in English to give an AI/LLM the context to understand BetoniJerry with no prior knowledge. This file exists so that an AI assistant given only the URL `https://betonijerry.fi/llms.txt` (or the human-readable `https://betonijerry.fi/about`) can understand what BetoniJerry is, who it serves, and how it works. ## What it is BetoniJerry (betonijerry.fi) is an online service that connects people who need a concrete pump at a building site with the companies that operate concrete pumps. Instead of phoning several pumping companies one by one to get quotes, the customer fills in a single short request and receives offers back. - **Operator / data controller:** PumiNet Oy, Finnish business ID (Y-tunnus) 3091336-1. - **Service language:** Finnish (the app UI and all customer communication are in Finnish). - **Service area (today):** Helsinki and the Greater Uusimaa / Southern Finland region, with the aim of expanding. - **Price:** Sending a quote request is free and non-binding. There is no obligation to accept any offer. - **Relationship to betoni.online:** BetoniJerry is a separate consumer-facing front end operated by PumiNet Oy. Accepted requests become jobs (*keikka*) for the winning provider inside the betoni.online operations platform. BetoniJerry itself does **not** perform the pumping and does **not** sell concrete. ## The problem it solves Private builders and small contractors who need concrete pumped to a site usually have no intuition for what a pumping job should cost, and getting comparable quotes means calling multiple companies separately — "ilman puhelinrumbaa" ("without the phone-tag runaround") is BetoniJerry's tagline. BetoniJerry turns that into one online request that fans out to available providers, who quote back. ## Who it is for - **Customers:** private builders (consumers) and small business contractors in Finland who need a concrete pump delivered to a work site — e.g. pouring a foundation, a slab, or a floor. - **Providers:** concrete-pumping companies that already operate on the betoni.online platform and receive forwarded requests in their existing dashboard. ## How it works 1. **Send a request** (`/tilaa`): a 5-step wizard collects the site address, the concrete spec (amount, strength class, etc.), pump needs (boom / *puomi*, line length), site-access details, and contact info. Sending it is a non-binding *tarjouspyyntö* (quote request), not an order. 2. **Fan-out:** the request is forwarded to suitable concrete-pump providers operating in the customer's area. The number and content of offers depends on which providers are active there — BetoniJerry does not guarantee an offer from every, or even any, provider. 3. **Offers:** providers send back offers (price + terms). The customer compares them. 4. **Accept:** the customer accepts one offer. This is the actual order moment, and the service contract is formed between the customer and the chosen provider — not BetoniJerry. The exact pumping time is then agreed by phone with the provider. ## What BetoniJerry is NOT - It is **not** the company that performs the pumping (unless the selected provider happens to be PumiNet Oy's own operation). - It does **not** sell concrete and does **not** do structural design — responsibility for concrete grade/strength and structural choices stays with the customer's designer or responsible site manager. - A quote request is **not** a binding order. A binding contract is formed only when the customer accepts a provider's offer. ## Key terms (Finnish → English) - **betonipumppaus** — concrete pumping - **tarjouspyyntö** — quote / offer request (non-binding) - **tarjous** — an offer returned by a provider - **valu** — a concrete pour / casting (one customer job) - **keikka** — a job/gig as tracked in the provider's operations system (betoni.online) - **puomi** — the pump's boom - **betonipumppu / pumppuauto** — concrete-pump truck - **pystytyspaikka** — the set-up spot for the pump truck on site - **työmaa** — building / work site ## Key pages - Home: https://betonijerry.fi/ - Send a quote request (wizard): https://betonijerry.fi/tilaa - Terms of service (Käyttöehdot, Finnish): https://betonijerry.fi/kayttoehdot - Privacy policy (Tietosuojaseloste, Finnish): https://betonijerry.fi/tietosuoja - This brief, human-readable: https://betonijerry.fi/about ## Privacy & data (summary) Personal data (registration details, the request's site/contact info) is processed to forward requests and provide customer service, under PumiNet Oy as data controller (GDPR).
